HS OFFICE NEWS
Winter Break began for our students at 12:30pm on Tuesday, December 22nd. Classes will begin again on Monday, January 4th. This will be the beginning of J-Term (no Early Bird classes). Have a wonderful break!
The high school athletic towel cupboard is bare and we're hoping that you can help! If any white athletic towels have been borrowed and brought to your home, we would appreciate having those washed and returned to the school as soon as possible. We currently have none left for our PE student use.
MVHS is now affiliated with National Honor Society, and of course with changes come questions! Please check the High School Counselor's Corner for more information, or by clicking here. Students who meet eligibility criteria will be required to submit a Mustang Chapter of the National Honor Society application by February 12, 2016. Students, please plan ahead and consider working on this over the winter break.
If you haven't checked out the Counselor's Corner webpage in awhile, now would be a good time to do it! Click here to see the latest opportunities for your high school child, including ACT Test dates, National Honor Society, scholarships, junior and senior planning and MORE. Be in the know!
Reminder: MVHS IS A CLOSED CAMPUS. ALL STUDENTS are required to stay on campus during the school day. This includes the lunch hour. However, we do allow juniors and seniors to arrive late and depart early only if they do not have a 1st/7th period class. Permission forms for the 1st semester were mailed out to the parents/guardians of those eligible students and must be on file in the high school office before students will be considered excused during these times. These forms are updated each semester. This option is not available to students in grades 9 or 10.
Activity Passes were distributed to those students who purchased passes through registration. It is a requirement that these Activity Passes be shown for admittance to each home athletic event. Students without activity passes will need to pay admission to events. State sponsored post-season athletic events (i.e. playoff/tournament games) always require payment for admittance for ALL students.
